I really didn’t sleep well and was clearly coming down with something. I did a RAT test and it seems I have COVID! Bugger! I managed to avoid it for 3.5 years, even though Ian had it twice! Ian seems fine though. We will slow down a little and I will use a mask especially when with other people.
We had already decided to eat in tonight, so we headed out to the central market, which was lovely. We bought some bread, meats, cheese, olives, tomatoes, dessert and cute tiny pastries called Petit Pate Nimois, a local delicacy with different fillings.

We took the goodies home and had a rest before heading out again. None of the central historic sites are very far, so we though we would walk to the Pont d’Avignon, famous for a French nursery rhyme (Ian knows it, but I had never heard of it). Originally built in the 12th century, it spanned 920m, but some it fell down in the 17th century and was not rebuilt.

We had an ice cream (it was quite warm) and then found a place for a late lunch. Ian had a croque madame and I made a small effort on pasta carbonara. I must be sick if I am not eating!

We headed back for a quiet afternoon and evening. We watched some Aussie TV, set in Melbourne, which was fun. Dinner was a lovely feast before we both went to bed early.
